OK – I admit, we weren’t furiously searching for blond wigs yesterday in preparation for the movie premiere. We didn’t completely jump on the Harry Potter bandwagon and dress up for the midnight show today. We waited until the first show at 10:30 am and all went, albeit, not dressed up. Although, had we planned ahead, we could have (dressed up and) seen other a couple of other Harry Potter movies at our local library (in Belmont) and then gone on to see the 4 pm show.
We loved it! It was a fitting end to a long, magical tale. The cinematography was fascinating; it was so real in certain parts of the movie it was making us dizzy! It’s always nice to see good triumph over evil and have the audience cheer and applaud for it! That kind of behavior is infectious.
I think we might have to have a mini Happy Potter Film Festival at our house and watch a week of Harry Potter movies before school starts again. I think that’s a little easier and quicker than trying to read all of the books through from beginning to end 🙂
Take a moment and write a comment if you saw it, dressed up for it, plan to see, or have no intention of seeing it…
I’m so glad that you didn’t write any spoilers because Hubby and I are going this afternoon (and we’ve never read the books) 🙂 We won’t be dressing up (I’m more a Lord of the Rings kinda nerd ;)), although we’ll probably fight over who gets to wear the one Gryffindor scarf that we have. We actually hadn’t seen any of the movies until last year when we borrowed them all from my brother-in-law and had a marathon. The last movie was the first one we’d seen in the theater.
