Today is National S’Mores Day! What a day to celebrate. I love to eat S’mores. With perfectly toasted marshmallows (not the ones you catch on fire and hop around like a maniac trying to blow it out before it turns to a charred mess), but the ones that you toast to a perfectly crunchy outside and a perfectly melted inside… those are the ones that melt with the chocolate, perfectly. (I sense a theme here).
A fellow blogger posted a fantastic recipe for S’Mores cookies (Thanks Miranda!) and we tried it out. Actually Bryce did, twice. The first batch was so good and disappeared so quickly, he had to make a second batch! These were incredible cookies! Using the graham crackers instead of all flour made for a very tasty and different cookie. These cookies were meatier and chewier than your usual chocolate chip cookie. Try them in honor of National S’Mores day, especially if you aren’t near a fire where you can make your own S’Mores.
Find a PDF of the recipe S’mores Cookies. Enjoy!
I am so glad you tried the recipe and liked them! I should have known National S’mores day was coming up, that would have been a great time to revisit them!
